JP and Titleist parted ways in 2018. JP went back to work with a clean canvas. He started fresh, designing the only way he knows how, with grit, determination, and passion. The return of the three toe bullets signifies these traits, and the return of JP’s full autonomy to ideate and create.

The Grind House is now located in San Diego, minutes from Torrey Pines. This is an incredibly fitting backdrop to what’s ahead – Premier by JP. The Premier represents the peak of performance through design. Clean turf interaction, finely tuned center of gravity, with a design worthy of an art gallery.

While developing The Premier, JP went back to his roots with the release of the First Fifty. This project was JP’s chance to get back in the shop and build one-of-a-kind wedges for his most avid followers, and to thank them for their years of loyalty. The First Fifty allowed JP enthusiasts to get the wedges they’ve always dreamed of, made by the man they trust. With his CNC Vertical Mill, JP machined and bored the hosels. He flycut the faces, engraved the grooves, and milled the back off of the 500 gram blank, allowing him to sculpt it on the grinder.
